Alzheimer Coffee
Break
The vision and inspiration of Niagara’s
Alzheimer Society, Coffee Break® events are held in homes,
offices, community centers, schools, churches, city halls,
retail outlets, and health facilities - just about anywhere
coffee can be served and a donation collected. Over the
years, Coffee Break® hosts have become very creative in
their fundraising efforts, hosting BBQs, parties and even
community challenges. Small or large, simple or elaborate,
each break truly makes a difference in the lives of those
affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Last year, thanks to
the generosity of hundreds of Coffee Break hosts, over
$71,000.00 was raised for the Client Services Program. Your
help is needed to reach Niagara’s 2012 goal of $100,000.
You supply the people; the Alzheimer Society supplies the
kit. Register for your free Coffee Break® kit today at

Walk for
Memories
Coinciding with Alzheimer Awareness
Month, the annual indoor Walk for Memories takes place in
January. This year’s walk, held January 29 at the Pen
Centre, raised a record-breaking $62,000 to promote public
education and provide emotional support and programs for
people with dementia, their families and caregivers.
Together we can help today and provide
hope for tomorrow. Consider registering for our next walk as
an individual or as a team by calling 905-687-3914 or online
at
www.walkformemories.ca.
The Peter
Saracino Alzheimer Golf Classic
Each June, the Alzheimer Society Niagara
Foundation hosts its annual Peter Saracino Alzheimer Golf
Classic. The 2012 tournament, held on June 6 at Peninsula
Lakes Golf Club, raised $38,623. This fun-filled
day on one of the area’s award-winning golf courses raises
necessary funds to support many programs and services that
are vital to assisting our clients, their families and
caregivers throughout the Niagara Region. Its success is a
result of the many sponsors, donors and volunteers who
participate year after year. Special thanks go to this
year’s title sponsor, Wormald Masse Keen Lopinski LLP.
Your support as a participant, sponsor,
or donor of a prize ensures the continuing success of this
event, which has raised more than $500,000 to date. Contact
our events coordinator at 905-687-3914 or
