‘Beyond Words’ Coffee Club
‘Beyond
Words’ coffee club includes
individuals who have completed the
‘Beyond Words’ early stage support
group who want to maintain the
social connections and sense of
community they experienced in the
support group. Participants meet
every 2nd and 4th
Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Therapeutic Living
Centre (TLC) suite and share
refreshments, conversation and
camaraderie in a supportive, caring,
accepting environment. Coffee club
has expanded to include individuals
in the early stages of dementia who
may not meet the criteria of the
early stage support group or do not
wish to attend a support group.
Care partners of individuals in the
early stages of dementia have also
indicated a need for peer support
and socialization in a warm,
inclusive environment and we are
very pleased to offer our caregiver
coffee club.
